In British Columbia, Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) are required to meet specific graduate-level education, clinical training, and ethical standards through a professional association, helping ensure a consistent level of competency and accountability.

At present, the term “Counsellor” is not regulated in B.C., meaning it can be used by individuals with varying levels of training and experience. This can make qualifications less clear for the public.

With anticipated regulatory changes, RCCs are expected to transition to the protected title of Psychotherapist around 2027, which will further standardize education and training requirements across the profession.

How I Support You

Just as every root system grows differently depending on the ground it's given, every person, couple, and family I work with needs something a little different. My practice is built around five areas of focused care — each offered with the same steady presence, compassion, and collaborative spirit, whether we meet in person in Maple Ridge or virtually from wherever you are.
